Liverpool midfielder, Gini Wijnaldum, has yet to turn down the Reds’ offer of a new contract, despite reports to the contrary.
The Dutchman is said to be mulling over a new deal with at Anfield, with numerous outlets this week claiming Wijnaldum had turned down the latest offer from Liverpool.

But according to The Athletic, that is not the case and as yet, Wijnaldum has yet to make his mind up over whether to accept fresh terms with the Premier League champions.
Barcelona hold a strong interest in the midfielder, who has been a constant for Jurgen Klopp in recent seasons. But Wijnaldum also knows Ronald Koeman could well be out of the a job at the Nou Camp in the summer, so he has a big call to make.

For now, though, it’s a positive update for Liverpool fans who, in the main, had appeared consigned to losing Wijnaldum.

Whichever way you look at this and however you think it might go, Liverpool will want this done and dusted with quickly.
Wijnaldum remains a key figure for Liverpool but Klopp will want to know how he needs to approach the summer in regards to if he needs a replacement.
But, as mentioned, at least it looks like the Dutchman is seriously considering an Anfield stay.
