Liverpool are reportedly initiating a move to try sign Ismaila Sarr this summer from Premier League rivals Watford.
According to 90min, the 23-year-old is emerging a top target for Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, who has liked him as a player for a while.
It is understood that the Merseyside club have made a move for the £71,000-a-week attacker and they are prepared to pay up to £40million because they rate him so highly.
However, the report mentions it’s unclear on Watford’s valuation of their man.
In addition, Sarr has told his club that he wants to be allowed to make a glamorous move to Liverpool.
Sarr, who’s versatile enough to play as a central forward or a winger, is someone with blistering speed.
He played a pivotal role in Watford’s promotion from the Championship last season, scoring 13 goals and supplying 10 assists in the league.

Could Sarr replicate the success of some Liverpool attackers?
Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah had to develop into elite level players after moving to Liverpool. Therefore, fans are more understanding when it comes to signing individuals with potential.
Sarr showed his ability during his one season in the Premier League back in the 2019/20 campaign.
First of all, he’s a rapid winger with great close control and the ability to terrorise defenders. Secondly, he showed last season, albeit in the second tier, he’s capable of high goal outputs. Finally, it looks like he would be a great option to challenge for a spot in the Liverpool XI.
He wouldn’t be joining as the finished article. But, linking up with Senegalese compatriot Sadio Mane would surely be a dream for him.
