Liverpool have supposedly discussed a potential move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
That’s the bold claim made by Il Mattino, who suggest the Reds are ready to lodge an official bid after talking to his agent.

Koulibaly, widely considered one of the best centre-halves in the Italian top flight, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Juventus of late.
Apparently Napoli are working on a sell to buy basis this summer, and cashing in on £107 million-rated Koulibaly would allow them to rebuild.
He has been with the club since 2014 after transferring from Belgian outfit Genk.
TBR’s view
This link has come out of nowhere and would certainly raise eyebrows if it came to fruition.
Liverpool signing Koulibaly would be a major statement of intent.
The Senegal stopper is a fearsome opponent; physically he is matched by very few, and he is good in possession of the ball.

Liverpool signing him and pairing him alongside Virgil van Dijk would make them even more impenetrable at the back.
The 6ft 5in colossus has long been linked with a move away from Napoli and Champions of Europe Liverpool might well appeal.
