TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Liverpool have made contact over a move to sign HNK Rijeka goalkeeper Ivor Pandur this summer, but face competition from Juventus and Premier League title rivals Manchester City.
Pandur, 20, had broken into top-tier Croatian side Rijeka’s starting eleven of late after coming through the club’s academy system. He has clocked up 10 appearances for Rijeka, keeping an impressive six clean sheets. He has conceded just eight times.
The global health crisis could not have come at a worse time for Pandur, as he looks to solidify his place in the Rijeka side. But his brief stint between the sticks may have been enough to attract interest from some of Europe’s biggests sides.
The report claims Liverpool and Juventus have made contact over a move to land the Croatia Under-19 international, while Manchester City are said to have sent an official to keep tabs over second-placed Rijeka’s newest star.

TBR’s view – Pandur needs first-team game time
At Liverpool and Manchester City, Pandur’s only chances of regular first-team football is by joining either Premier League side and then going on loan. Whether he has what it takes to rival the likes of Ederson or Alisson, seems unlikely.
However, both clubs could do with competition for the back-up role. Adrian has made a number of mistakes when covering Alisson, while Claudio Bravo is out of contract this summer as Ederson’s cover. Pandur could be used as a back-up.
