Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has reportedly reached an agreement in principle to sign a new long-term contract with the Anfield club.
The Reds star has two years remaining on his current deal, but in July, extension negotiations had reportedly stalled.
This led to transfer speculation linking Henderson with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.

However, The Athletic has now reported that Liverpool and Henderson are finally on the right track over a new deal.
The England international will reportedly pen a new and improved three-year contract.
This will also have the option for a fourth season depending on how many appearances Henderson makes.
And Jurgen Klopp apparently played a pivotal role in turning around a “complicated and sensitive situation, which nobody involved wanted to have a detrimental impact on the squad”.

Liverpool boss: “We will sort it”
Georginio Wijnaldum joined Paris Saint-Germain for free after failing to reach an agreement in the final year of his deal.
And Liverpool were reportedly keen to avoid a repeat situation with Henderson.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday about Henderson’s new contract, Klopp said: “We will sort it. No doubt about that. It will get sorted.”
Liverpool signed Henderson from Sunderland in 2011, and the midfielder has made 392 competitive appearances for the Reds.
He has helped the Reds win the Premier League, the Champions League, the European Supercup, the Club World Cup and the League Cup.
