Liverpool have reportedly made a transfer offer for Aissa Mandi at a fraction of the price of the Real Betis star’s apparent release clause.
It is being reported by Cadena COPE that Liverpool have presented the Verdiblancos with a €10 million (£9m) offer for the player. That is considerably cheaper than the 28-year-old’s apparent €30 million (£27m) release clause. Real Betis are said to be interested in accepting the offer as he has just one year left on his deal.
It would be a perfect option for Liverpool as they need a replacement for Croatian defender Dejan Lovren, who recently made a move to Zenit St Petersburg. That deal was worth a reported £10.9 million (talkSPORT), so Liverpool might have the money in the transfer coffers to secure a deal for the Algerian star.

Mandi, who has 55 caps for his country, has been a regular in the Betis team this season, playing 30 times after initially starting the campaign out of the starting XI.
Liverpool are blessed with their centre-back talents, with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip all present.
Mandi would represent a reliable option to replace the role Lovren plays in the Liverpool squad and at a reliable price so this might be a perfect deal for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
