Liverpool are looking into the possibility of signing Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga as they look to address their goalkeeping woes.

Alisson is set to miss a period through injury and with Adrian conceding seven goals last night, the Reds could move for a new stopper as they seek to plug the gap left by their Brazilian number one.

According to the Independent, Gazzaniga has been highlighted as a potential signing by Jurgen Klopp, who will be fully aware that last night was simply unacceptable from his number two.

Argentinian stopper Gazzaniga, who has one cap for his country, is behind both Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart now at Spurs and could seek a move away himself with no game-time on the horizon.

Gazzaniga stepped in admirably last season for Lloris but Jose Mourinho moved to sign Hart on a free in the summer, pushing the 28-year-old down the pecking order a bit.

A big move from Klopp but one that’s needed – TBR View

Adrian’s performance last night was shocking to say the least so it’s no surprise to see Klopp making a move in the market.

Gazzaniga proved himself an able keeper last season so there’s no reason why he can’t step in at Anfield. He’s dealt with the pressure of replacing Lloris so it’s a similar scenario with Alisson.

This one may develop as we go but could be one of the big moves of the day in the Premier League.
