Liverpool are among a number of clubs said to be keen on signing Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Junior, according to a report from, Diario.
The Reds are said to be in the hunt for Vinicius, who has been a regular squad member for Madrid this season, making 23 appearances.
Vincius, 20, has started to impress a bit more at the Bernabeu but has not quite lived up the hype surrounding him when he completed his move to Spain from Flamengo.
And Madrid could apparently be open to selling him. Per The Express, Los Blancos are trying to raise funds to bring Kylian Mbappe to Madrid and could well sacrifice Vinicius to help fund such a move.
Liverpool, along with PSG, are credited with an interest in the forward, while in December, The Daily Star claimed Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were keen on securing a loan move for the Brazilian.
Vinicius would bring energy, pace, and trickery to the Anfield cause and could well ease the pressure on the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, who have struggled in recent weeks.
TBR View: A good long-term player but any move surely has to wait
Signing Vinicius would be a good move for Liverpool if he can produce the goods and live up to his potential. The problem comes in the money side, where a move would surely have to wait until the summer months.
But the Brazilian is quality and is highly thought of in his homeland. Former Brazil striker, Edmundo, once branded Vinicius the ‘New Neymar’ thanks to his form in South America.
There is a top player in there somewhere, it’s just a case of someone getting it out of him.
