Liverpool are reportedly keeping an eye on Cagliari centre-back Sebastian Walukiewicz.
That’s the claim from Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, who state Manchester United and Chelsea are also lurking.
The Polish star, 20, has been a regular fixture in the Cagliari first-team this season, making 10 appearances across all competitions.

Walukiewicz – who is described by Cagliari as being ‘majestic in the air’ – was tipped to have a big future a couple of years ago when he impressed at the U20 World Championship, and it seems he is beginning to make his mark in senior football.
Cagliari are completely opposed to losing their young star, and he now has a contract with the club until 2024 having actually signed an extension earlier this week, meaning any hopes of a cheap pickup for Liverpool are perhaps unlikely.
Cagliari will also be acutely aware that the Reds are without Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the foreseeable, meaning they could demand an even higher fee.
TBR’s View – A name to listen out for
It is little surprise to see another defender being linked with Liverpool.

Walukiewicz would probably be a more unlikely addition in January than some of the other names that have been in the papers.
That said, he is making a big impression in Serie A for mid-table Cagliari and is a name worth listening out for.
