Report: Liverpool just days away from completing £10million deal for 20-goal striker
According to the Metro, Juventus’ Carlos Tevez could opt to join Liverpool for as little as £10 million by Wednesday.
The Argentine centre-forward is widely expected to leave Juventus following a successful season – in which the Turin-based club won the Italian league and cup double – with Brendan Rodgers’ side battling the likes of Atletico Madrid, Boca Juniors and PSG for his signature.
Tevez made 32 appearances in Serie A last season, scoring 20 goals and creating 61 chances, including seven assists. Not only is he continuing to find the back of the net on a regular basis, but his experience at the highest levels of the game would provide a huge boost to a youthful Liverpool side.

Should he make the move to Anfield, he would be playing for his fourth Premier League club. Having won the Premier League with both Manchester United and Manchester City, following a brief spell in which he successfully avoided relegation with West Ham United, the 31-year-old’s knowledge of the English top-flight is second-to-none.
Signing Tevez would mark a significant departure from the club’s previous transfer policy of signing younger players with high re-sale potential. However, despite his age, the Juventus frontman would be an absolutely outstanding signing for The Reds.
