The race for Ajax sensation David Neres is hotting up as Liverpool enter the race, according to reports in the French media.

Le10Sport claims that Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain are now battling for Neres.

Liverpool’s bitter Merseyside rivals Everton have also been linked recently with the Brazilian winger, according to UOL.

As per Le10Sport, PSG are monitoring Neres but are yet to firm up their interest with a concrete offer.

If they hesitate, the French giants might miss out on the youngster, who has been the subject of a €40m bid from Dortmund.

Liverpool are also watching Neres, although the Premier League side have not entered the race with a bid yet.

Neres joined Ajax in 2017 from Sao Paulo and he has really caught the eye in the last couple of seasons.

This season, the once-capped Brazil international has scored 11 goals and provided 15 assists to add to his tally of 14 goals last season.

He has been impressive with his pace, skill and direct approach, lighting up the Eredivisie and the Champions League.

Liverpool could now swoop for the 22-year-old as a long-term attacking midfield option at the club.

The Reds would have to fend off interest from rivals Everton for Neres’ signature, as well as clubs from France and Germany.
