Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Diogo Jota from Wolves reported by the Daily Mail to be in the region of £41 million.
But it seems that is not the only business the two clubs have been doing this week.
Wolves are seemingly hopeful of bringing in Dutch talent Ki-Jana Hoever. The 18-year-old, who made his professional debut against Wolves in December 2018, is set to make a move which could eventually be worth £13 million to the Reds.
The report also details a very shrewd aspect of the apparent deal. Liverpool have negotiated a 15 per cent sell-on clause in the deal that sees Hoever head to Molineux.
Liverpool clearly feel that Hoever has bags of potential and would like to cash in on it, should he end up going to move on from Wolves.
The benefit of such a significant sell-on clause was made clear this summer when former Liverpool talent Luis Alberto was being linked with big-money moves away from Lazio, which could have ended up banking Liverpool an eight-figure fee.
With some early comparisons to Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool will be hoping to make some decent money off of Hoever if and when he makes the move away from Wolves in the future.
