Report: Liverpool have £17million bid rejected for Torino wide man Singo
Italian newspaper TuttoSport have claimed that Liverpool have tabled a bid of £17million to sign Torino speedster Wilfried Singo, after an excellent breakthrough season with the Serie A side – but have seen that offer rejected.
Singo, 20, has starred for Torino in the top tier of Italian football this season – having only made seven appearances at senior level for the club before the 2020-21 campaign. He has played 23 times this season in all competitions.
His blistering pace and versatility – which allows him to play as a right-back or a right-winger – has caught the eye among talent spotters at Liverpool. So much so, that Liverpool have made an offer the sign the uncapped Ivorian.
That fee is believed to be in the region of £17million, but the Reds have seen that offer return – with Torino either holding out for more, or looking to keep Singo at the club. He has two years remaining on his Torino contract.

TBR’s view – Liverpool looking to strike early?
Perhaps it is an approach that is needed. Striking early and getting the best the market has to offer before other clubs are interested is another bit of genius from Michael Edwards. Also, younger players to need to be targeted.
The core of Liverpool’s side are beginning to age and they need to start planning for the future, bringing in players that have more legs, speed and can take Liverpool into the next generation. Singo might be an example of that.
