Liverpool have already made a move in the January transfer window, securing the signing of PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have faced an injury crisis in attacking areas this season.
Losing both Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota to long-term injuries has been difficult to deal with this campaign.
Klopp has tried using both Fabio Carvalho, Darwin Nunez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in that role to fill the gap.
However, once Gakpo is fit, he will have a natural left winger to hopefully help turn their form around.

The loss of Roberto Firmino hasn’t helped either, with the Brazilian in great form before the World Cup.
Liverpool could have coped with these losses better had they brought in a player they were offered in the summer.
The Telegraph have suggested that Liverpool were offered RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku just a few months ago.
The young Frenchman has been in terrific form this season, and has already scored 12 league goals in 15 appearances.
Liverpool were offered Nkunku this summer
The report states that, ‘Liverpool were offered the chance to sign Christopher Nkunku in the summer but Klopp and [Pep] Lijnders declined.’
Liverpool fans look set to see more of Nkunku in action next season, however, it will only be when Chelsea visit Anfield.
The ‘special’ attacker is reportedly on his way to Stamford Bridge in July, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Nkunku’s versatility and creativity in the final third make him an incredibly exciting prospect.
His 20 goals and 13 assists in the Bundesliga last season was an extraordinary return, and helped his side quality for the Champions League.
Nkunku was initially part of France’s World Cup squad in Qatar, but was forced to withdraw due to injury.
The Frenchman has a big fan in Liverpool target Jude Bellingham, and the Reds will be hoping they don’t miss out on both players.
After Liverpool were offered Nkunku in the summer, the pressure is on Gakpo to hit the ground running to prove that Klopp made the right decision.
