Spanish newspaper Marca claim that if Liverpool do enter the market for Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch in January, then they will face competition from Real Madrid. TransferMarkt state his agent is Mino Raiola.
Gravenberch, 19, is about to enter the last 18 months of his Ajax contract. Another example of the Dutch side’s excelleny academy, Gravenberch has clocked up 86 appearances in all competitions for Erik Ten Hag’s team.
His form has not gone unnoticed by Europe’s biggest clubs – or his country, earning 10 caps. Plenty of European heavyweights have been linked over the last few windows, with Liverpool supposedly keen admirers of him.
Reports claim that Gravenberch could be allowed to leave Ajax for a bargain £42million. Real Madrid are keen on Gravenberch – but if they do go after the Dutchman, Liverpool will offer competition to Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

Madrid and Liverpool eye Gravenberch: £42m is an absolute bargain
Liverpool need a midfielder. Gini Wijnaldum was never replaced, while Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have all suffered injury problems over the last couple of seasons.
So, a midfielder is needed. Why not a player like Gravenberch, who is already incredibly experienced at just 19. He would be happy to play a rotational role given his age, and £42million is an investment for numerous years.
Yes, Liverpool would have to contend with Raiola, a super agent that can chuck a few more million on top. But for Gravenberch, any kind of fee under £60million is still a bargain – if he stays for longer than five seasons.
