Liverpool have reportedly earmarked Jadon Sancho as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah in case the Reds forward leaves Anfield in the summer, according to BILD.
The German outlet claims that the displays of the Borussia Dortmund and England winger have “not gone unnoticed” by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Salah, meanwhile, has enjoyed another impressive season despite the Reds’ struggles, with 29 goals and four assists in 46 games across all competitions.

However, the Egypt international’s Anfield future remains the subject of speculation, having kept the door open on a move to La Liga at some point in the future.
BILD claims that, while Liverpool don’t have the finances to make a big-money move this summer, this could change if Salah were to be sold, at which point they could step up their interest in Sancho.
The 21-year-old has made a name for himself at Dortmund since leaving Manchester City’s academy in 2017, registering a gargantuan 46 goals and 60 assists across the last three seasons.
The likes of Neymar have sung his praises, the PSG star telling Sky Sports last year: “Jadon is a player that I really like to watch play and he is a great player with plenty of quality.”
TBR View:
Sancho has never looked back since leaving City in 2017, going from a great prospect into one of the world’s most highly rated young players.
Obviously a player of his calibre will regularly be linked with some of the world’s biggest clubs.
That said, it remains to be seen whether such a deal can take place this year in wake of the football industry being dealt a huge blow by the global health crisis.
Indeed, could any club out there even be able to afford Salah in order for Liverpool to then reinvest the money in buying Sancho?
