German outlet Express.de have claimed that Liverpool are interested in luring Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram to Anfield this summer, but will have to deal with notorious super agent Mino Raiola.
Thuram, 22, has been on fire for Gladbach ever since moving to the German club from French side Guingamp in the summer. Despite starting out wide more times than up front, Thuram has had a hand in 19 goals during his 33 outings.
Indeed, the France Under-21 international has scored 10 goals and created nine more – which has seemingly attracted interest from Liverpool. The report claims that the Raiola-owned striker will be allowed to leave for £44million.
Last year, TeamTalk claimed that Rafa Benitez wanted to sign Thuram at Newcastle – while Everton and Arsenal were also interested – before Gladbach won the race. He has a contract with the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2023.

TBR’s view – Klopp knows the Bundesliga, Thuram could be class
Not only is Thuram scoring at such a young age, he has shown he is more than able of coping with a change of scenery and still being able to produce. A move to Liverpool would see a third country added to his CV, but he should be able to handle it.
Given Jurgen Klopp’s extensive knowledge of German football, Thuram – son of France legend Lillian – will certainly have impressed the onlooking Liverpool manager. At £44million, he offers versatility and enormous potential. A good signing.
