Liverpool coaches started noticing Kostas Tsimikas’s improvement on the training field towards the back end of last season, the Athletic report.
Training ground improvements
Tsimikas has been one of the big winners from Liverpool’s pre-season, as he has impressed every time he has featured.
The left-back endured a difficult first season at Anfield, after joining Jurgen Klopp’s side.
He struggled for game time badly, with Klopp barely ever picking him over Andy Robertson.
However, an injury to the Scot means that his big chance at Liverpool could be in the horizon.
Robertson could be out until the 12th September, which means that Liverpool could start in the Reds’ first three games of the campaign.

Tsimikas’s big break
Liverpool are set to take on Norwich City at the weekend, with the Athletic’s latest update saying the full-back is ‘almost certain’ to feature, before they face Burnley and Chelsea.
If Tsimikas does get the chance to start then it will be a real opportunity for the Greek to prove his worth.
And it could be that he features far more prominently at Anfield this season than he did over the past year.
