Report: Liverpool can land Aaron Ramsey in cut-price deal this summer

Liverpool have been linked previously with a move for Aaron Ramsey and Tutto Juve claim he could be available at a bargain price during the summer transfer window.

It is claimed that Juventus will drop their asking price to just £10 million in a bid to get Ramsey’s sizeable £187,000-a-week salary away from their budget.

The Wales midfielder checked in for the Turin-based outfit during the summer of 2019. He has made 65 appearances for the Old Lady, scoring six goals and claiming six assists.

Liverpool will lose Gini Wijnaldum in the summer, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona circling the Dutchman. His contract will expire in the summer and it seems as though he will leave Anfield.

That will leave Liverpool with a void to fill in the middle of the park. Ramsey’s bargain price could well alert Jurgen Klopp who has the former Arsenal man on his shortlist.

The 30-year-old was adored by the Gunners faithful during his time at the Emirates Stadium. He made 371 appearances for the club, scoring 65 goals and registering as many assists.

Arsenal won the FA Cup three times during his spell at the club and he’s also lifted a Serie A title during his time in Italy.

TBR View: Ramsey could be shrewd Wijnaldum alternative

Liverpool are facing a battle to get back into the Champions League next season and their fate is in their own hands.

With Wijnaldum leaving there is going to be a summer recruitment drive and Klopp will definitely need an alternative.

Ramsey’s injury record isn’t exactly amazing but at just £10 million he has bags of experience and would require very little settling in.

He might not be the most glamorous signing Liverpool could make this summer but he could prove a sound one.
