Foot Mercato claim that Liverpool and Newcastle are two of 10 clubs chasing Olympiakos midfielder Aguibou Camara. Compared to Naby Keita, it is believed that Camara will only cost interested parties around £12.5million.
Camara, 20, is currently impressing in the Greek Super League with leaders Olympiakos. Having joined from Lille in the summer, the nine-time Guinea international has surprised many with just how good he has been.
His form has not gone unnoticed. Scoring five goals in 25 games, he has also laid on four assists – with Olympiakos winning 13 of their 15 league games, drawing the other two. He is set to travel for the African Cup of Nations.
The report claims that 10 clubs will be watching him during the competition including Liverpool and Newcastle. Foot Mercato liken him to Reds ace Keita, and say that a fee of £12.5million will be enough – albeit next summer.

Newcastle a better move than Liverpool, for Camara
Liverpool have numerous options in midfield. Thiago is getting better, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho remains as solid as ever. Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have seemingly put injury problems behind them.
Meanwhile, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have starred for the Reds when fit – playing deeper in midfield than perhaps many had expected. The Reds are well-stocked – and Camara’s career would stall if he move to Anfield.
At Newcastle, his career would prosper – if they stay in the Premier League. He would get the necessary game time to continue his development – with Newcastle in need of midfield energy.
