According to a report from The Times, Liverpool are among the clubs tracking Aston Villa hotshot, Carney Chukwuemeka, ahead of a potential summer switch.
The report, which is a feature on the rise of Chukwuemeka and how high he is rated at Villa Park, suggests that both Liverpool and Man City have watched the teenager.

Chukwuemeka, 17, is said to be regarded as one of ‘the best players coming out of the entire country’.
The young midfielder has been training with Dean Smith’s first-team squad since the summer. It is widely expected he could make his Premier League bow this season, especially if Villa continue their excellent form towards the summer months.
However, given his age, he is still open to being snapped up by other clubs. Liverpool and City, then, could well look to tempt him into a move given their positions in the English game.

The Reds have snapped up young prospects before. Harvey Elliott was signed from Fulham not too long ago and has since impressed in a loan spell with Blackburn Rovers.
TBR View: Always likely to happen, given Chukwuemeka’s apparent talent
The best young players at most clubs will always catch the eye of the big boys in the Premier League so it’s little wonder Chukwuemeka is attracting attention.
Villa will, rightfully, want to keep the young man but the prospect of moving to giants of the game like City or Liverpool will be tempting.
Dean Smith might well hand the youngster a debut soon. Doing so could well convince him his future lies at Villa Park, rather than warming the bench at a top four club.
