Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Diogo Jota.
Sky Sports claims that the Reds have agreed a deal worth £45million for the Portugal international, who is now set to join the reigning Premier League champions this summer.
It is understood that the 23-year-old is scheduled to travel to Melwood today (Saturday) and have his medical with the Merseyside giants.
After completing the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara yesterday, Jurgen Klopp’s side are now on the verge of spending more significant money to add quality to their squad.
Jota is a versatile forward that is good with both foot and has a low centre of gravity making him a nightmare for defenders with his dribbling.
The attacker can play anywhere across the forward line, meaning he could slot in for either of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah as cover.
He’s scored 44 goals in 131 appearances for Wolves and been a part of their team under Nuno Espirito Santo that has gone from the Championship to the Premier League top half.

TBR’s View:
Liverpool had been relatively quiet up to this week in the transfer window, but in the space of a couple of days they are set to seriously strengthen their squad and it could make them favourites to retain their league crown.
Thiago is a new signing that is likely to walk into Jurgen Klopp’s XI, while Jota is a deal that has come from nowhere and could be a great one for them.
He’s a serious talent that on his day is unstoppable in attack and manager Klopp could be perfect in trying to find some consistency in his game, plus it will allow for some rotation in attack.
