Ligue 1 outfit Brest are interested in signing Rangers winger Eros Grezda.

According to The Scottish Sun, there are now two French teams fighting over the Albania international, with Dijon’s interest having been reported yesterday.

Apparently Grezda fits the bill, despite an underwhelming campaign last term.

The 24-year-old was signed from NK Osijek for around £2 million, but failed to convince.

He was restricted to just 17 appearances in all competitions by Steven Gerrard, and fans are currently unsure about his prospects.

TBR’s view

A move is surely likely, with Gerrard having already snapped up Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie and Sheyi Ojo.

Jamie Murphy is back in the picture and, although Daniel Candeias has been sold, there is still ongoing talk about the potential return of Ryan Kent on loan.

Grezda did very little in his first season, but might have expected him to be given another chance having cost £2 million.

But Gerrard isn’t messing around, and three new faces in the wide areas means Grezda’s future looks bleak.

Perhaps with two clubs interested, the Gers can be hopeful of recouping most of their initial outlay.
