According to France Football, Rennes appear to be ahead of AC Milan in the race to sign Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva.
Whilst the window has closed in England, the transfer market remains open across the rest of Europe. This means that there is still time for the 30-year-old to be prised away from the King Power Stadium.
A move would likely be the best thing for the 26-cap Portugal international. He has failed to establish himself in English football since joining the Foxes for £22 million. Silva made just two Premier League appearances last season before being shipped off to Monaco on loan for the second half of the campaign.

Silva played regularly for Monaco and appeared comfortable in Ligue 1. Rennes now look set to offer him a return to French shores.
TBR’s view
For the good of his career, Silva needs to get away from Leicester. The Foxes are unlikely to recoup much of the transfer fee they invested in the player, but at this stage they should cut their losses. Moving Silva on would at least free up some space in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
Rennes would likely be a good fit for Silva, and would give him an opportunity to get his career back on track. With the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans and Dennis Praet, amongst others, ahead of him in the Leicester pecking order, there’s no way back for him there. He’ll go down as a Premier League flop though.
