Leicester City are leading the race to sign Wesley Fofana, but the Daily Mail reports that Everton have also had a look at the defender this summer.

The Daily Mail reports that the Foxes are ready to offer £20 million for the 19-year-old. It is noted that Brendan Rodgers’s men have received encouragement that the teenager may be open to moving during this window.

But Leicester may not face an easy ride as they try to land his signature.

The Daily Mail reports that Everton and AC Milan have also been monitoring the St Etienne starlet.

TBR View: £20 million for Fofana could prove inspired move

It remains to be seen if the Ligue 1 side have any interest in selling Fofana for £20 million. But if he is available for that sort of price, it could prove to be a fantastic piece of business.

The youngster is superb in the air. Whoscored.com shows that he won 4.5 aerial duels per game last season. Only three players achieved a better average.

Meanwhile, only one player averaged more interceptions per game than Fofana.

But he is also excellent on the ball. And given that he does not turn 20 until December, there is little reason why he cannot improve significantly in the coming years.
