Report: Leicester keen on landing Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka

Leicester City are keen on signing Arsenal man Bukayo Saka this summer, according to a report from 90Min.

The youngster has yet to agree on terms on a new deal with the Gunners. That has led to worries within the Arsenal camp that they could lose their teenage sensation over the summer.

Indeed, Borussia Dortmund have been credited (The Mirror) with having an interest in Saka.

Arsenal face a tough decision on their hands when it comes to Saka’s future. The left-sided flyer could well walk away from the club for nothing in 2021. That, of course, would be a disaster for Mikel Arteta.

And 90Min now claim that Leicester are keeping tabs on the situation, along with the likes of Chelsea.

The Foxes are on course to seal a Champions League place this season if football does get back up and running. With Brendan Rodgers looking likely to lose Ben Chilwell, Saka could be the ideal signing for the club.

Chilwell is expected to be the subject of a £50m bid from Chelsea this summer. Frank Lampard is a big admirer of the youngster and sees him as the ideal fit at Stamford Bridge.

Saka shouldn’t count Leicester out as an option, a club on the rise – TBR View

While a few years ago Leicester might not have been regarded as a club for top players to consider, their Premier League title win changed all that.

And with Brendan Rodgers now at the helm and looking to take them to the next level, they’re certainly a club on the up.

That’s why Saka should consider a move to the Midlands. For one he’ll be guaranteed to play if Ben Chilwell does leave.

Secondly, he’ll be working under an innovative young manager who likes to see players develop. You only have to look at how the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Chilwell, and James Maddison have improved.
