Leicester City are closing in on the signing of Atalanta’s Robin Gosens, however, the transfer has not been completed yet.
According to L’Interista, the German defender is closing in on a move to the Foxes despite the fact the player would rather move to one of Internazionale or Juventus.
The report goes on to claim that, despite the €30m (roughly £25.9m) price tag on the 26-year-old, Antonio Percassi, the president of the Serie A club, is willing to accept a lower offer.
Leicester are on the cusp of securing Champions League football, a year on from the disappointments of last season. A loss for West Ham in their clash with Everton coupled with a win over Newcastle United would see Brendan Rodgers’ men secure a place in Europe’s premier competition for next season.

TBR View: Left-back is a priority for the Foxes
Chasing a player who shows no desire to play for your club is a scenario that will never end well for any team, never mind the midlands outfit.
It is clear to see that, despite Leicester closing in on the player, his mindset isn’t focused on playing for the Foxes despite their imminent Champions League qualification.
However, in the face of Ben Chilwell leaving the King Power Stadium last summer, Leicester are in desperate need for a new left-sided defender, especially with Champions League football on the horizon.
There has been an air of inconsistency at left-back/left-wing back this season with Luke Thomas, right-back Timothy Castagne and Christian Fuchs have exchanged starting places this campaign.
While it may look like Rodgers has an unbelievable amount of depth at his disposal, it really highlights the lack of a replacement for Chilwell after he departed last summer.
Going into the Champions League without a clear recognised starter at left-back wouldn’t be the smartest decision from the Premier League outfit, who will be looking to secure a player, whether it is Gosens or not.
