Leicester City has apparently made Atalanta defender, Timothy Castagne, their number one target this summer as they look to replace Ben Chilwell.
According to Belgian publication, HLN, the Foxes have put Castagne at the top of their shopping list following his fine season with the Italians, where he helped them to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Castagne can fill a variety of roles on the field but is best known for playing as a flying wing-back or full-back. At just 24, the Belgian should have his best years ahead of him and has already won seven caps for his country.
Brendan Rodgers is desperate for a new player to fill the void left by Chilwell. The Leicester boss reluctantly sold the England man last week to Chelsea but has around £50m now in the kitty to fund a replacement.

Castagne, then, could well be the perfect player to do just that. Despite playing the majority of his games as more of a winger, Rodgers will no doubt use the Belgian as an attacking full-back, much like he did with Chilwell.

This would be an astute signing by the Leicester boss if he can get it over the line, especially if Castagne can continue to build on the fine form he showed last season.
Atalanta was one of the surprise packages in Europe and Castagne was one of the key components of that team doing so well.
Leicester does need somebody in to fill in for Chilwell so this could be ideal. With a bit of luck, he won’t cost the full £50m they have just got for Chilwell either, which should, in turn, represent good value for money.
