Leicester City are said to be keen on snapping up French international and current Marseille star, Florian Thauvin, this January.
According to French media outlet Le10 Sport, The Foxes are keen on investigating the possibility of signing Thauvin, who is known in England for his short spell with Newcastle United.
However, he made only 13 Premier League appearances for the Magpies before moving back to France, where he has since gone on to become a star performer for the Ligue 1 giants.
Indeed, he’s already scored three and laid on a further five this season. But Thauvin’s contract only runs until the summer of 2021, and Le10 claims he is free to negotiate with a new club from January.
Thauvin, 27, has ten caps for France and would fit into Brendan Rodgers’ attacking system, given his ability to play both sides and as a number ten if needed.

Thuavin struggled massively in a Newcastle side that was full of players who never quite got going in black and white. However, since being with Marseille he’s been excellent.
Just shy of 250 appearances have yielded over 80 assists and more than 50 goals, a good return for any attacking midfield player.
On a free transfer, this is a no-brainer for Leicester and one they could very realistically pull off.
