Former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has a master plan in place to secure the transfer of Parkhead striker Odsonne Edouard this summer, according to reports.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the Leicester City boss is desperate to sign the Frenchman this summer.
It is claimed that Celtic would want £40 million for the striker, who scored an impressive 27 goals in 45 games for the Glasgow club.
That would prove too much for Leicester but Rodgers is ready to sacrifice one of his current crop in order to bring Edouard in.
The report claims that Leicester are ready to sell Kelechi Iheanacho in order to fund a swoop for the Parkhead hero, with Aston Villa reportedly holding a vested interest in signing the Super Eagles frontman.
Celtic fans are desperate for the club to keep hold of their star striker this summer, amid links with several clubs.
Leicester pose one of the biggest threats, considering their ability to offer European football and Rodgers’ previous relationship with the 22-year-old talent.
Celtic will just be hoping that Edouard sticks around and that Leicester cannot find a way to facilitate his transfer this summer.
