Leicester City want to sign Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic in January.
According to 90min, Ajer is a top target for Brendan Rodgers in the new year. Rodgers wants to raid his old club to sign dominant defender Ajer and he believes he can snap up a bargain deal.
Leicester feel they can sign Ajer for less than £20m when the transfer window re-opens. Rodgers worked with the Norway international at Celtic, turning him into a central defender.
In the summer, the Foxes sold star defender Harry Maguire to Manchester United in a record deal. Armed with cash from the Maguire sale, Ajer is seen as a potential replacement.

The 21-year-old will compete with Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and Wes Morgan at Leicester. Filip Benkovic, who partnered Ajer last season under Rodgers, is also on Leicester’s books.
Man United will also consider making a move for Ajer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants his fellow countryman to tighten things up in central defence. Celtic now face a battle to hold onto Ajer.
TBR’s view
The towering central defender’s consistency has sometimes been questioned. But he is young, he is powerful, he is good on the ball and he has the potential to become a success at the top level.
Celtic rate Ajer very highly and Neil Lennon shouldn’t let him leave on the cheap. The Bhoys are under no pressure to sell him halfway through the season so they should command more than £20m.
