According to a report from GVA.be, Leeds will have to fork out more than £22m if they wish to sign impressive Club Brugge man, Noa Lang.

The Whites are being linked with Lang, with The Telegraph reporting this week that Marcelo Bielsa was keen on the forward.

Lang’s form this season has been nothing short of superb. He’s hit an impressive 15 goals and contributed a further seven assists as his reputation across Europe has blossomed.

But GVA report that Brugge aren’t willing to sell Lang for less than the amount they sold Wesley to Aston Villa for. That fee was just shy of the £22m mark, meaning Leeds will need to stump up big money to land Lang.

Lang has a contract in Belgium until 2024 but his form is likely to lead to a move before that comes to and end. Still only 21, the former Ajax man fits the bill for Bielsa’s men, given his ability to play wide and through the middle.

Leeds’ excellent return to the Premier League should ensure funds are available this summer. Whether they’ll part with around £25m for Lang, though, remains to be seen.

Lang has everything a player in this current Leeds team needs. He works hard, he’s quick and direct, and he’s capable of slotting into a few attacking positions.

Belgian legend Steven Defour has already lauded him as the ‘best player in the league’ this season. That in itself tells you about the sort of talent we are dealing with here.

Despite the price, this really should be a no-brainer for Leeds.
