Leeds United are amongst a raft of Premier League sides monitoring Barnsley loanee Daryl Dike, with TEAMtalk reporting that Newcastle United and West Ham are also admirers of the 20-year-old.

Dike has made a hugely impressive impact since arriving at Oakwell at the end of the January transfer window.

The youngster has scored five goals in 11 Championship appearances. His record is all the more impressive given that he has started just eight times.

His form saw him named Barnsley’s Player of the Month for March. TEAMtalk reports that Barnsley have the option to make his move permanent for £17 million.

But a number of Premier League sides are also keen. According to the report, Leeds, West Ham and Newcastle are amongst those to scout the USA international.

TEAMtalk suggests that it is Everton who are showing the most interest. But Wolves, Manchester United and Chelsea are also in the running.

His record highlights that he is obviously a threat in front of goal. But he is also excellent in the air, often holding the ball up and bringing runners into the game.

As shown by Whoscored.com, only seven Championship players have won more aerial duels per game than Dike. And given his age, there is every chance that he is going to get considerably better in the years to come.
