Leeds United are one of the teams monitoring Yan Dhanda, with the Daily Mail reporting that he could be targeted should Tyler Roberts leave Elland Road.
Roberts’s future has become a talking point with Marcelo Bielsa struggling to hand the forward many opportunities. The 22-year-old has made just two Premier League starts.
The Daily Mail hints that he could be on the move in this window – although it should be noted that the Wales international was arguably one of the brighter performers in their 1-0 defeat on Saturday.
Should he leave Leeds could consider a move for Dhanda – who spent time playing alongside Roberts in the West Brom youth ranks.
He is also on Bournemouth’s radar. Elsewhere, Marseille, RB Leipzig and Atalanta are said to be keen.
Interestingly, the report comes with Dhanda still fighting to win a regular spot in Steve Cooper’s Swansea side.
Dhanda highly-rated as Leeds take another look
He has completed 90 minutes in the Championship once since the end of November. And he has made nine league starts all season for the Swans.
As shown by Whoscored.com, his statistics do not jump off the paper. He averages 0.6 key passes per game this season, with one goal and one assist coming so far in the league.
But he is still a youngster and can play in a number of midfield roles. He was also labelled a ‘very good player’ by Jurgen Klopp back in 2017 as he looked to make the grade with Liverpool (via Daily Mail).
The Daily Mail reported back in 2017 that Leeds were keen on taking Dhanda on loan. Thomas Christiansen was in charge back then, but Victor Orta was already in place at Elland Road.
So perhaps it would not be a huge surprise if he was one player Leeds had on their radar in some capacity.
