Leeds United could make a move for Patrick van Aanholt this summer, while the Sunday Mirror (14/3; page 69) also suggests that Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci is on Marcelo Bielsa’s radar.

Left-back looks to be an area the Whites will try and strengthen this summer. Stuart Dallas and Gjanni Alioski have predominantly been tasked with covering in that role since promotion.

Dallas has been hugely impressive this season. Alioski meanwhile, has had a mixed campaign. And as noted by the Sunday Mirror, his contract expires in the summer.

Another player whose deal runs out in the coming months is van Aanholt. And according to the Sunday Mirror (14/3; page 69), Bielsa is interested in bringing him to Elland Road.

The report also claims that the Whites are keen on Larouci. The Mirror suggests that the 20-year-old is set to leave Liverpool in the summer. His own contract is soon up, according to Transfermarkt.

It is not the first time Leeds have been linked with the Reds youngster. The Liverpool Echo reported last year that talks had actually been held about a potential move for the starlet. But of course, no move would take place.

Van Aanholt – who earns £55,000-a-week at Crystal Palace, according to Spotrac – would be an interesting signing for Leeds. He would provide a lot of experience. The Dutchman has made well over 200 appearances in the Premier League during his career.

He has previously chipped in with a few goals and assists also, so he may not struggle to adapt to the demands Bielsa has.

And given that he would be available on a free transfer, it may not prove to be a terrible piece of business from the Whites by any means.
