Leeds United are reportedly keen on trying to sign Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter on loan next season.
According to the Sun, the Whites want to take the 21-year-old to Elland Road on a season-long loan and are hopeful of wrapping up a deal.
It is understood that the Yorkshire club are fearful though that Frank Lampard will reject the loan approach as revenge for Spygate.
Current Derby County boss Lampard was involved in the high-profile Spygate incident last season, but he’s being heavily linked with the vacant managerial job at Stamford Bridge.
The Sun reports that he will become the Blues manager next week after agreeing a £16.5million deal for a three-year contract.
Leeds believe that Lampard being in charge could present an obstacle following their run-in with him last season in the Championship.

TBR’s View:
There certainly is no love lost between Lampard and Leeds fans, but surely it wouldn’t be the difference between a player being loaned out from Chelsea to Elland Road if he was in charge in West London.
Lampard is expected to take charge at Chelsea given the amount of speculation and the fact that Derby have confirmed he’s been allowed talks with them.
He’s expected to promote youth from within the club and it will be interesting to see what sort of role Clarke-Salter will play.
The centre-back has just captained England at the Under-21s European Championships and is a rising star.
He impressed out on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem last season and some may see it as a drop down to the Championship next year.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds need reinforcements in the heart of defence for next season and the Chelsea defender would be a strong fit.
