Leeds United’s ambitious summer of transfer spending could seemingly continue with a move for Udinese and Argentina playmaker Rodrigo De Paul, according to reports.
The Telegraph reported at the weekend that Leeds were keen on a potential move for the player, with a £25 million price-tag being mooted. The Guardian later stated that a figure of £31 million would need to be paid for Leeds to get a hold of their man.
It has since become clear that De Paul is a genuine target for Leeds this summer, as he can play in the wide positions but is also comfortable through the middle, something Marcelo Bielsa is said to want from his next signature.

But Leeds may face an uphill battle to secure their man. According to reports in Italy, De Paul has his heart set on heading elsewhere.
According to reports in Italy, namely Messaggero Veneto, De Paul has made it clear that his intention this summer is to join Juventus if he is to leave Udinese.
It will come as a big blow to Leeds fans, with De Paul considered a major coup if they were to secure his signature.
Of course, Leeds fans will not give up hope as the report also makes it clear that the West Yorkshire side are still leading the hunt for the player.
But with Juventus his clear preference, a move from the Bianconeri would swiftly take De Paul out of Leeds grasp.
