Leeds United are relaxed about unpaid payments relating to the signature of Robin Koch this summer, despite reports suggesting legal pressure could be around the corner.

Volksfruend is reporting that Leeds United owe three of the centre-backs youth clubs money regarding his £13 million move from Freiburg in the summer. It is suggested Leeds owe Kaiserslautern, SV Dörbach and Eintracht Trier €130,000, €32,000, and €290,000 respectively – meaning a total bill of around €450,000 (£400,000).

However, Leeds are not worried about the issue. As reported by Leeds Live, the Premier League side actually informed Koch’s former youth teams of the money owing so are fully on board with the idea of paying the respective fees. Any delay in any agreement is currently being delayed by administrative issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Leeds fans will be pleased to hear that this appears to be in order.

Leeds are seemingly facing one challenge pertaining to a transfer fee from Germany already at present. RB Leipzig remain adamant that Leeds owe them money for the permanent signature of Jean-Kevin Augustin related to his disappointing loan spell at Elland Road.

Leeds will now just hope that Koch can thrive in West Yorkshire, and justify the money Leeds will end up paying four clubs for his services.
