Leeds United have reportedly fielded a transfer offer for Basel striker Arthur Cabral.
Globo Esporte is reporting that Marcelo Bielsa is a big fan of the Brazilian striker and that an offer has been lodged for the 22-year-old.
The report claims that Leeds have offered €15 million (£13.6m) for the striker with an extra €3 million (£2.7m) in performance-related bonuses, totalling at £16.3 million. It is suggested the Swiss giants want at least €20 million (£18m) for the player but that the powerful frontman is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Arthur Cabral spent last season on loan at Basel from Palmeiras, replacing the outgoing Albian Ajeti. The Brazilian under-23 star had an excellent campaign, scoring 18 goals in 39 games, helping Basel to the Europa League quarter-finals.

That prompted Basel to activate a permanent option in his loan contract, reportedly (L’Equipe) worth €4.5 million (£4m) but they could now be tempted to cash in immediately.
The report details some confusing aspects of any deal, with former clubs Palmeiras and Ceara still owning some of his economic rights but Leeds offer would be for 100 percent ownership and paid to Basel, with the subsequent split the responsibility of the Swiss side.
Leeds United are on the hunt for a new striker this summer, to add depth to a position where only Patrick Bamford is a recognised option.
Cabral is just the latest in a long line of names to be linked with fulfilling the role and there will likely be more to come. Leeds United fans will just be hoping whoever arrives can have a positive impact in the Premier League.
