Leeds United will reportedly drop any sort of interest they held in Manchester United winger Daniel James, according to Sky Sports.
The transfer ticker for Sky (17:39), claims that the Whites will now move on from James completely after they edged ever closer to completing a deal for Raphinha this afternoon. However, that deal is not quite over the line at the time of writing.
It means James, who earns a reported £50k-a-week at Old Trafford, will remain in Manchester and will now try to force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the rest of the season.
James very nearly joined Leeds before moving to Man United anyway. He was all but ready to sign for the Elland Road club but saw his move dramatically collapse from Swansea.
Since then, he has gone on to become a regular squad member for Man Utd. His pace, trickery, and threat down the wings had made him a useful squad player but he has since dropped away from the fold, with the Red Devils insisting on signing a new winger and Mason Greenwood emerging.

Leeds will have no complaints with their transfer window as long as they get the Raphina deal over the line in the end.
Marcelo Bielsa has had a fine summer backed by Victor Orta and Andrea Radrizzani and has a squad now more than capable of making a big fist of things in the Premier League.
James would have been a nice signing to add, of course. But in Raphinha, the club look like they are getting a brilliant talent anyway.
