Leeds United are reportedly interested in defender Sam McCallum at Coventry City.
According to the Coventry Telegraph, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are tracking the highly-rated 19-year-old.
McCallum is a promising young talent has played seven first-team games for the Sky Blues so far this season across all competitions.
The attack-minded left-back has featured five times in League One, where Coventry currently sit top of the table unbeaten and chasing promotion.
He only joined the East Midlands club in the 2018 summer and spent the 2017/18 season with non-league club Herne Bay.
McCallum is an exciting young prospect that has already made a decent impression in the Coventry senior group and they have had a number of quality players pass through their doors in recent years.
Callum Wilson and James Maddison are two of the Premier League stars that previously had spells with the Sky Blues.
Leeds should always be on the search for the best young talent, but they do have a quality academy themselves and the left-back area does look fairly stacked at Elland Road right now.
Barry Douglas and Ezgjan Alioski are fighting it out for the starting spot right now, meaning any path into the side looks blocked at present.
McCallum isn’t ready to make the jump up to promotion-chasing Leeds in the Championship, but is an athletic defender to keep an eye out on.
