Leeds United will reportedly increase the pressure on Rangers in their pursuit of winger Ryan Kent next week.
The Scottish Sun are claiming the Premier League side are preparing to table a £14 million bid to test the Light Blues’ resolve, after offering an initial £10 million – a fee Steven Gerrard deemed ‘way, way off the mark’.
The Whites will also apparently offer to double Kent’s wages to around £50,000-a-week.

Kent has been at Ibrox for the past two seasons, with Rangers shelling out £7 million in the summer of 2019 to turn his initial loan move permanent.
The ex-Liverpool winger has made a bright start to the 2020/21 season, scoring three goals in his first five games.
Kent is highly rated by Gerrard and it is clear the Liverpool legend doesn’t want to lose the livewire.
The need for Leeds to add new faces is clear, with the new Premier League season now only a couple of weeks away.
TBR’s View – A gamble worth taking?
This is now the third time Marcelo Bielsa has been linked with a move for Kent, suggesting that the Argentinian tactician is indeed a big fan.

Kent never made a Premier League appearance for Liverpool, but his game has really come on since joining Rangers.
There is clear potential with Kent, who has great pace and is impressively two-footed, but perhaps £14 million is the highest Leeds should be going given there are other areas that need to be strengthened.
