Leeds United have been dealt a blow in their reported pursuit of Glen Kamara with The Athletic reporting that he is set to sign a new contract with Rangers – but all hope may not be lost for the Whites.
It was reported this week that Marcelo Bielsa’s side were eyeing a move for the Finland international.

Signing Kamara was a masterstroke from the Gers. He has been an outstanding addition for Steven Gerrard’s side.
And it appears that the Scottish Premiership champions are about to receive a huge boost.
According to The Athletic, Kamara is closing in on a new deal with the Light Blues.

Obviously, that is not good news for Leeds in this window. However, the Premier League door is not being shut altogether, it seems.
The Athletic claims that Kamara wants to move south of the border. And he has agreed to sign a new deal on the basis that the Gers will allow him to leave for a suitable bid.
Leeds blow, but Rangers will be delighted to tie Kamara down to new contract
It does appear that Bielsa’s men need to strengthen in the middle of the park this summer. Stuart Dallas was a prominent fixture in that position for much of last season.
Dallas was superb. But Kamara would be a fantastic addition.
It is therefore, a huge boost for Rangers to keep him beyond this summer. They have an exciting campaign on the horizon, with the second-leg of their Champions League qualifier ahead.
And the Gers look set to ensure that they will receive a top price for the midfielder when the time does come to sell.
