Report: Leeds looking to sign £6m midfield talent likened to Jude Bellingham
Leeds United are reportedly keeping tabs on Switzerland international midfielder Ardon Jashari.
This is according to Sky Sports Germany, who say the 20-year-old is ‘dealing with various offers’ from around Europe.
Jashari currently plies his trade with FC Luzern, who sit sixth in the 10-team Swiss Super League table.
However, it may not be long until Jashari moves, with Leeds just one of several clubs reportedly in pursuit.
As well as Jesse Marsch’s Whites, the likes of Napoli and Celtic are also ‘courting the services’ of the central midfielder.
At present, Bundesliga duo RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are said to be the frontrunners.
Jashari’s reported price tag stands at €6-7m (£5.3m-6.2m), with his Luzern contract running until 2026.
Leeds target Jashari – factfile
Jashari has come through the ranks at Luzern and is now their captain.
He has made 40 first-team appearances for the Swiss side, bagging two goals and seven assists.
Jashari has also won two Switzerland caps, with one of them coming at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
Sky Germany, citing Swiss sources, claimed in October that Jashari is capable of becoming a player like Jude Bellingham.
Leeds should make their move – TBR View
All in all, Jashari seems like a good shout for Leeds.
He’s young, very talented, has leadership qualities, is on the radar of several good clubs,
Better still, Jashari’s price tag is incredibly modest for a Premier League club.
The fact he’s not a huge name yet means Leeds could swoop in and bring him to Elland Road under the radar.
Leeds did this with Wilfried Gnonto and he has gone on to impress for his side, looking like a top prospect.
Could Victor Orta do the same with Jashari?
