Leeds United’s hopes of signing Ben White this summer appear to have suffered a setback, with Sky Sports reporting that Brighton have rejected two bids from the Whites for the defender.
Understandably, Leeds are incredibly keen to bring White back during this window. He was outstanding during his loan spell at Elland Road as Marcelo Bielsa’s side clinched the Championship title.

Sky Sports reports that Leeds have made two offers for the 22-year-old. Both – worth £18.5 million and £22 million – have been knocked back by the Seagulls.
It remains to be seen if Leeds plan to return with a fresh offer for the youngster. But it does appear that they have received a little reason for encouragement.

Sky Sports claims that Brighton are looking to agree a new contract with White. However, both of their offers have also been rejected.
TBR View: Brighton remain in strong position, but Leeds can hold out hope
Sky Sports notes that White’s contract at the Amex Stadium still has two years left to run. And Graham Potter’s side have the option to add another year.
So they will be able to really dig their heels in should they want to. But Leeds fans may take some hope from White’s decision to snub the chance to pen fresh terms.
It is not clear what the reason is. Leeds will certainly be hoping that he is not going to sign anything because he wants to return to Elland Road. But of course, there could be other reasons.
However, with Leeds and Brighton both proving unsuccessful so far, it appears that there may be a few more twists ahead before White’s future is resolved.
