Leeds United scouts are reportedly set to watch Dundee United winger Scott Banks in action.
According to the Daily Record, the Whites have sent scouts to watch him in action on Saturday in the first game of the Scottish Championship season.
It is understood that Manchester City representatives will also be watching the 17-year-old.
The report details that Premier League side Crystal Palace have made a £400,000 swoop for the attacker and started talks about a deal, but could face competition from Southampton.
Banks spent last season out on loan with Clyde in the Scottish League Two, where he scored one goal and supplied three assists in 15 games.
He’s started the season back at Dundee United in the second-tier of Scottish football and has been involved in the club’s League Cup matches that kickstarted in July.

TBR’s View:
Banks is certainly an exciting talent that appears to be in demand this summer and is attracting a wave of interest from teams in England.
Leeds are set to watch the wide player in action this weekend, but it would be some feat to win the race for his signature.
Palace appear to be in pole position after beginning discussions for him, while top-flight team Manchester City and Southampton are attractive options too for a teenager.
Leeds boss has shown there is a path for youngsters to develop at Elland Road and it’s positive the Yorkshire club are on the search for upcoming talent.
