Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent and his representatives have reportedly told Leeds United director Victor Orta that the player is not interested in a move away from Ibrox, according to Leeds Live.
On 21 August, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard told BBC Sport that the Whites had contacted them over Kent, but said their opening bid was “strongly rejected” and sought to make it clear he is “not for sale”.
The following day, the Scottish Sun claimed that the Elland Road side, newly promoted to the Premier League, was not ready to give up the fight for the talented attacker, and was prepared to increase his offer to £14million.

Since then, speculation linking Kent with Leeds has petered out somewhat, with the Whites now reportedly looking at the likes of Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul and Dinamo Zagreb’s Josko Gvardiol.
And today, Leeds Live has reported that the 23-year-old neither hopes nor expects to leave Rangers in this transfer window.
In addition, the outlet has claimed that, at some point in the past week, Kent and his representatives have made it clear to Orta that the player would not currently be receptive to a switch south of the border.
TBR View:
Although the Kent to Leeds saga has largely fizzled out, this latest report should bring an end to the speculation once and for all.
It’s understandable that Rangers don’t want to let Kent go, with such a great start to such an important season, with a 55th title, plus stopping Celtic getting their hands on a 10th consecutive crown, at stake.
Leeds seem to have regrouped and focused on other targets anyway, so it looks as though that’ll be it for this summer regarding a player Jurgen Klopp has previously described as “wonderful”.
That said, it’ll be interesting to see what happens a year from now, if Leeds do well in the Premier League and Kent has done his bit to bring silverware to Ibrox.
