Report: Leeds quoted up to £31.3m for Argentina international, Marcelo Bielsa very keen on him

Leeds United have been told that a move for Rodrigo De Paul would cost the Elland Road side up to 35m euros (around £31.3million), according to The Guardian.

The Whites have been busy strengthening their ranks ahead of their return to the Premier League after 16 years, with Rodrigo Moreno and Robin Koch arriving at Elland Road.

Now, Udinese midfielder De Paul has been linked with Leeds, with numerous outlets including The Telegraph and Gianluca Di Marzio claiming the Whites are interested in him.

The Guardian claims that Leeds have been have been told any move for the 26-year-old, who Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly very keen on signing, would cost in the region of 30m to 35m euros.

De Paul enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2019, helping Argentina to the semi-finals of the Copa America, and claimed seven goals and six assists from 34 Serie A appearances last term.

Leeds have shown they mean business with their acquisitions of Rodrigo and Koch, and adding De Paul to their ranks would be a further statement of real intent.

An incredibly versatile and talented player with plenty of experience at the highest level, he seems a perfect fit for Bielsa’s style of football.

With Leeds also reported to be in advanced talks for centre-back Josko Gvardiol from Dinamo Zagreb, it’s proving an exciting summer for fans of the Elland Road outfit.
