Leeds United fans hoping to see Carlos Corberan stay at Elland Road have been dealt a blow, with the Daily Mail reporting that some of the squad believe that he will take the Huddersfield Town job.
Corberan’s future has become a talking point following the announcement that Danny Cowley had left the Terriers over the weekend.

The Sun reported that the Spaniard was one of the candidates they were speaking to about the post. And it now appears that talks have progressed.
The Daily Mail has suggested that discussions with Corberan have reached an advanced stage.

And intriguingly, the Mail has also added that the players expect the 37-year-old to leave despite the Championship winners wanting to hold onto Corberan.
TBR View: Leeds will surely keep keen eye on Corberan if he leaves
It will be a disappointment for many if Corberan leaves. His work with the under-23s has been lauded. And it was a big statement when Marcelo Bielsa promoted him to his first-team coaching staff in the months following the Argentinian’s arrival.
When the day comes that Leeds have to find Bielsa’s successor, Corberan may be an outside contender. While he is unproven at first-team level, appointing him would have provided some continuity when the club come to replace the almost irreplaceable.
But a move to Huddersfield may not represent the end of the story for Corberan at Leeds perhaps.
Should he impress, there will arguably be a further tick in the box for those who believe that he could have the potential to succeed Bielsa at some stage in the future.
