Leeds United plan to make a second bid for Arnaud Kalimuendo next week after Paris Saint-Germain rejected the Whites’ first offer for the 20-year-old striker, according to a report from Get French Football News.
Leeds got their Premier League season off to a promising start on Saturday. They came from a goal down to beat Wolves 2-1 at Elland Road.

Some of the football played going forward was exceptional. But of course, Leeds went into the campaign with a number of players out injured.
Thankfully for Jesse Marsch, Patrick Bamford was able to get through the large majority of the 90 minutes. But Leeds need no reminder of how valuable he is to their fortunes.

And with that, the Whites are working on signing another forward. It seems that the name at the top of their list right now may well be Kalimuendo.
Reports in July claimed that Leeds were close to agreeing a deal for the youngster. Those may have been premature, but it does seem that Victor Orta is very keen to bring him to Elland Road.
According to Get French Football News, Leeds had a bid rejected for Kalimuendo five weeks ago. But they are set to make a second offer in the coming days.
PSG have set a £21 million asking price. But new boss Christophe Galtier is an admirer of the player. Meanwhile, Rennes are very keen on the France under-21 international. So Leeds face a tough task.
Leeds plan second Kalimuendo bid
There is cautious optimism after the victory against Wolves. Bruno Lage’s men caused plenty of problems for the Whites. And they have hardly had the best summer at Molineux.
But Leeds were waiting until October for their first league win last season. And they have seven first-team players to welcome back into the fold at some stage.
Signing another striker in the coming days would leave supporters with even more to be hopeful about as the Marsch era really gets underway.
